Project Overview
Created for families to have one secure place to organize, collaborate and share family health information.
Primary Record had built a functional proof of concept mobile app that did the base tasks of what they wanted, but they knew the experience was not in a state that was ready for consumers to use. I worked with this small early stage startup to help bring their products to market. In addition to the mobile app, desktop experiences were created for both consumer and business admin usage.

What I Did
Working closely with the founders, product folks and the development team, I assessed their current build and made suggestions to improve. Enhancements included a more intuitive navigation system, simplified flows, support messaging and improved labeling, iconography, and a design system that established the visual look and feel. Along the way we were interviewing users that matched their target audience to help understand pain points and help guide roadmap decisions.
Results
Initial feedback from beta users has been very positive as this product fills a much needed gap in this industry. With a greatly improved UX and brand presence, the consumer app *should* be available in the app store in early / mid 2025!
Improved Navigation
Understanding user needs and organizing content in the way users will look for them.
Chat Assistant
Using AI to quickly search health records, history, medications, and basic health information.
Activity Dashboard
See upcoming events and previous activity based on the profile you are viewing.
Consumer Desktop Experience
To accompany the mobile app, a desktop experience was created.
Quick wireframe interactive prototypes were created to vet interactions with product, development and user testing.
